About Thrive Life
Thrive Life got its start in 2004 as a supplier of their very popular food rotation systems. If you don’t know what those are, they are big versions of the Campbell’s Soup can dispensers you see in your local grocery store. Basically, it works on the FIFO (first in, first out) system so you always know you are consuming the oldest products. This perfectly solves the biggest food problem most Americans face: food spoilage and waste.
In 2007, the company launched its Thrive brand of food storage. It initially just sold ingredients such as broccoli, carrots, or potatoes. This meant you had to use recipes to cook your food. However, it has recently launched a line of entrees that only require hot water. Thrive Life also sells emergency supplies and has a few nifty tools to help you get prepared.
In 2012, the company officially changed its name from Shelf Reliance to Thrive Life in order to better define the wide range of products it offered.
We used to have a low opinion of Thrive Life because we don’t like the lengthy process of combining ingredients to make a meal. We just think that in an emergency, cooking food will be a hassle compared to just adding hot water to a pre-made food entree. However, we really like the direction Thrive Life is heading, and we think they deserve your attention. Their site is a work of art and very easy to navigate. Plus, their food rotation system really is the best and is useful for organizing everyday food items.
Our Opinion
In summary, if you prefer actually mixing ingredients and cooking your food, then Thrive Life has the right products for you. The other benefit is you can purchase an integrated racking system that will keep all of your food storage perfectly organized.
Linda – :
I use Thrive on fairly regular basis. I love having items separate that I use quite often – broccoli, chicken, peas, corn, strawberries etc… – It is a great help in preparing casseroles. The quality I great too. Love the brownie mix and mashed potatoes! I have the smaller organizing racks for regularly purchased cans – love it! Mixing Thrive individual ingredients with regularly purchased items, makes meal making quick.
