The Ten Most Popular Celebrity Emergency Food Endorsers
Celebrity endorsements have been an advertising staple for years. But do they really matter, and do the celebrities actually use the product? My wife always gets a chuckle out of watching beauty products commercials showing Jennifer Aniston hawking some $5 grocery store cream when everyone knows she is really using the most expensive concoctions available in Beverly Hills. Whatever your views are on celebrity endorsements, it’s fun to see who is backing what in the world of emergency preparedness.
You will notice many of the names on this list espouse opinions that are conservative and pro-individual responsibility. It’s always interesting to see the liberal/conservative divide considering survival and back-up plans should be interesting to all people.
#1 Glenn Beck
NET WORTH:
$150 MILLION
DATE OF BIRTH
FEBRUARY 10, 1964
PLACE OF BIRTH
EVERETT, WASHINGTON
PROFESSION
TALK SHOW HOST, WRITER, COMMENTATOR, MEDIA PROPRIETOR, AUTHOR, SPOKESPERSON, CRITIC, PRESENTER, RADIO PERSONALITY, JOURNALIST
Glenn Beck is the king, father, and founder of celebrity endorsers for emergency preparedness. Glenn appeals to a conservative base that is a natural fit for the product. He was the first major celebrity to align himself with a food storage company–Daily Bread/Food Insurance. After Glenn’s move from Fox News to the Blaze, the relationship with Daily Bread started to unwind, and Mr. Beck no longer actively promotes Daily Bread products and is rumored to be switching to another food storage company.
#2 Rush Limbaugh
NET WORTH:
$150 MILLION
DATE OF BIRTH
JANUARY 12, 1951
PLACE OF BIRTH
CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
PROFESSION
TALK SHOW HOST, RADIO PERSONALITY, AUTHOR, COMMENTATOR, ACTOR
Rush is a relative newcomer to the emergency preparedness world, but he is now doing spots for Food Insurance. Several years ago Rush declined endorsing survival companies because he didn’t feel he would actually use the product in case of emergency. Now he sees the world differently. Rush’s enormous audience and influence bump him up to number two on our list even though he doesn’t have a long track record in food storage.
#3 Marie Osmond
NET WORTH:
$17 MILLION
DATE OF BIRTH
OCTOBER 13, 1959
PLACE OF BIRTH
OGDEN, UTAH
PROFESSION
SINGER, ACTOR, PRESENTER, DESIGNER
Marie Osmond has taken time out of her Las Vegas show to hawk Wise Company Food Storage. Marie started the relationship last year and can now be seen on billboards in Utah and all over Wise Company literature. She is interesting because her endorsement marks a departure from the usual male-dominated, conservative personality. Wise is trying to appeal to moms with Marie.
#4 Willie Robertson (de facto leader of Duck Dynasty business)
NET WORTH:
$20 MILLION
DATE OF BIRTH
APRIL 22, 1972
PLACE OF BIRTH
BERNICE, LOUISIANA
PROFESSION
BUSINESSPERSON
The Robertson clan seems to be everywhere these days. They recently sponsored the Duck Commander 500 at Texas Motor Speedway, and now they are jumping into emergency food storage with Food For Health International. The new line of meals (coming soon) will be called Duck Commander Meals. This seems like a pretty natural fit, and I have no doubt Food For Health will get a lot of business from Willie, Jase, and Uncle Si’s huge, loyal following.
#5 Dave Ramsey
NET WORTH:
$55 MILLION
DATE OF BIRTH
SEPTEMBER 3, 1960
PLACE OF BIRTH
ANTIOCH, TENNESSEE
PROFESSION
MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER, AUTHOR, RADIO PERSONALITY, FINANCIAL ADVISER
Dave Ramsey has long been considered a financial expert and has had a very successful radio show. It looks like he has finally seen what many others have seen for a while–several days of food on hand is just as valuable as several days of cash on hand. Dave has recently been aligned with Wise Company Food Storage.
#6 George Noory
George has endorsed Wise Company in the past but has recently started doing ads for Food Insurance.
#7 Michael Savage
Savage has run radio spots for Wise Company Food Storage.
#8 Laura Ingraham
Laura has also done radio ads for Wise Company.
#9 Jim Bakker
Jim is a de facto spokesperson for Food For Health since he touts his Old Mill Inn line of food storage (created by Food For Health) throughout his faith network.
#10 Stephen Colbert
This one is funny considering Colbert is mocking preppers. Watch the video here. Hopefully Colbert doesn’t ever have to come to the realization that the joke is really on him.
