About The Ready Store
The Ready Store was founded as a direct result of 9/11. The company saw a lack of preparedness among the populace and wanted to do something about it. Today it is one of the biggest and most successful emergency preparedness and food storage companies.
The Ready Store private labels dehydrated and freeze-dried food under its Saratoga Farms brand. However, you can also get other brands including Mountain House.
The Ready Store does some interesting things other food storage companies don’t such as the ReadyRewards™ program. ReadyRewards™ is a program created to reward customers for continued business. Basically, a person can earn points with each purchase and also by interacting on the Ready Store website. The ReadyRewards™ points can be redeemed for discounts on future purchases. Click here to read more.
The Ready Store is also very transparent and will give you the full specs for all of its products. This includes telling you how many actual calories you get rather than just listing serving quantities. From an information standpoint, you won’t find better than The Ready Store.
Finally, The Ready Store offers a price match guarantee that ensures you are getting the best price. If you find the same product offered by a competitor, within 10 days of your original order date, for a lower price, they will match the total price or refund the difference. That’s pretty powerful.
EasyPrep Food Storage
In the Fall of 2013, The Ready Store introduced their easyprep line of food storage, a product line with a calculation as easy as it is catchy: “1 Bucket + 1 Person + = 1 Month Food Supply.”
“No crazy math. No difficult algorithm. No mysterious process,” says their Holiday 2013 Catalog. “Buy one bucket at a time, or buy several months’ suplly…it’s all up to you.” You can read more about easyprep here.
Our Opinion
In our opinion, there are only a few food storage companies that have been around for more than 10 years, and the Ready Store is one of them. Their longevity is due to selling good products, having superior customer service, and consistently bringing new products to market.

When I first got into the survival food/prep thing I ordered from the Ready Store. I find them to be a very good company in many ways and would recommend them to others. They have a wide and varied selection. The sales people are great and not hi-pressure, they offer support and feedback. The one downside to the RS is the shipping. They have the highest shipping rates of any company I have used so far. Having said that, if you’re ordering in bulk, it’s a great deal. If you’re a small-timer like I am, there are better options to save a couple of bucks in shipping.

Nice courteous people but they shipped me four
5 gallon water containers without the included lids.
Never responded to my emails requesting correction
of the problem. Never sent the lids after calling them
on the phone.
