Doomsday Preppers Attracts Those Selling Food Storage

The hit show Doomsday Preppers, which runs on the National Geographic Channel, is not only popular with the viewing public, but also with those looking to cash in on the emergency preparedness craze. Food Insurance is running expensive television ads on all episodes—no doubt modeling the same success the company has had with Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity.

doomsday preppers reviewAlso, a quick search for Doomsday Preppers on Google resulted in ads from companies we have never heard of selling all sorts of emergency supplies. We have been in this industry for quite a while, and it is shocking how many “fly-by-night” operations have sprung up over the course of the last few years.

So far myfoodstorage.com is willing to pay Google the most money for its pay-per-click advertising service. So the company is obviously having success. Myfoodstorage.com is run by Wise Foods, a company whose products we have extensively rated on this site. Wise Foods is a very reputable company and should not be considered in the same category as the others we have referred to.

We applaud the success of the show Doomsday Preppers, but we also caution those who are new to the food storage industry not to buy products from companies of questionable repute. Please take a look at our food storage profiles, and pick your food storage from a more established company that will stand by its products.
