About AlpineAire Foods

AlpineAire Foods has been producing freeze-dried, dehydrated, and ready-to-eat instant meals, side dishes, breakfasts, soups and desserts for over 30 years. One interesting thing about AlpineAire is that it is one of the few food storage companies that isn’t located in Utah. It also manufactures all of its own food and sells it to some of those food storage resellers in Utah.

Many of the packages you find at AlpineAire are a little on the expensive side. We think this is due to their desire to maintain good pricing relationships with their resellers. Also, we give kudos to AlpineAire for putting their nutritional data right on their website for all to see. We are wary of food storage retailers who won’t publish their data and try to get you to focus on servings rather than calories.

Katadyn sells single package entrees and snacks under the AlpineAire brand but sells its traditional food storage under the brand “Gourmet Reserves.” These long-term packages range from three days to one year.

Organic foods are sold under the brand Natural High and consist mainly of freeze-dried fruit and vegetables. Additionally, AlpineAire has a nice offering of gluten-free foods with 41 different options ranging from pineapple chicken to garden vegetables.
